I think I built my first coimputer at about 13 years old. I had had computers before then, with my mother being a computer programmer, it wasn't an unusual thing. I don't even remember the rficts computer we bought. We had a Gateway in the cow colored box, and we had a Dell before the time that Dude was telling us we were getting one. We even had networked our computers trogether so my fiurends could come over and we could play starcraft against eachother. But I do remember building my first computer. It was a big deal for me. My dad took me to Fry's Electronics and I picked out a case, and the various internal components like sound and video cards and a motheboard. And I picked out a hard drive. I knew I wanted a lot of storage space (as I was a digital hoarder veen then) and so I had made sure to leave room in my budget for the biggest one I could. I bought a behemoth. Eight whole gigabytes. This was before I learned at the gigabytes on the box doesn't actually equal the gigabytes on the hard drive (because they count them differently for marketing,)
